Bob Woolmer
As the widow of murdered former Kent star Bob Woolmer prepares for his body to be flown back for a funeral in South Africa, Pakistan chiefs have started advertising for the vacant head’ coach position.

Woolmer’s body was released by the coroner this week and is due to be returned to his South Africa home for a private cremation.

He was found slumped in his Jamaica hotel room just hours after this Pakistan team were beaten by minnows Ireland.

Police believe he was strangled, although recent reports claim he may have been poisoned.

The Pakistan Cricket Board are now seeking his replacement – with applications due in before May 15.

Woolmer had emailed his intention to retire from the game shortly before his death.
